New in 2009: Sketches

Abstracts

Beginning with volume 59 (2009 subscription year), The Psychological Record will begin publishing brief sketches on a variety of topics of interest to the broader discipline.  The purpose of such sketches will be to:

1)  Bring novice student and professional readers up to speed

on various scholarly topics in the discipline so that they are better prepared to benefit from some of the articles published in the journal and

2)  Be available for use in undergraduate and graduate seminars,

in hopes of increasing visibility and subscriptions for the journal.

Sketches will be provided by leading scholars in each respective area of research and conceptual work, and will be approximately 6-8 printed pages in length.  The sketch will explain the topic and its relevance to the field, as well as summarize relevant literature and potentially provide new directions for research and analysis.

Upcoming topics include:

Theory of Mind

Interbehaviorism

Interteaching

Philosophy of Science

and much more!
